Devon Pony Hunt Teams 2010

After a long day of showing at the Devon Horse Show, pony riders that competed in the pony hunters got to participate in the Hunt Teams. They got to dress up in costumes, pick a song, and grab their friends.
In this fun class, riders must pick a theme and must follow each other around a course until the very last jump where they have to jump the jump together. Whatever team does this the best, gets to lead the victory gallop with their music and their beautiful blue ribbon.
First to go in the ring was Team Safari. This team was made of Bergan Sanderford with Made for Me, Britney Jarman with Rico Suave, and Mary Katherine Hargreaves with Harmony. Their costumes were wild animals and there song was "The Mighty Jungle." They finished with the wonderful red ribbon.
Another great team was called Shreck. Shreck was made of Carly Hoft with Church Mouse, Carly Reinsel with James Blonde, and Jessica Kyzer with Tip Top. One girl dressed up as Shreck, one was Princess Fiona, and the other one was the donkey. They used a wonderful song from Shreck the movie and they finished 3rd place.
The 3rd team to enter the ring was the team "Bad Girls." Maddie Schaefer with Flashback, Isabel Ryan with Tee Time, and Morgan Ward with Silver Rain participated in this team. They picked great music and costumes and finished in 4th place.
Second to last went "Trainers Worst Nightmare." This team was made of Kirklen Petersen, Lilli Hymowitz, and Maddy Darst. They rode to the song "Bad to the Bone," and dressed up in amazing costumes. This adorable team finished 1st.
Last but not least were "The Things" made up of Mackenzie Graves with Rosmel's Bit O' Blue, Jordan Coyle with Pashmina, and Sabrina Slagowitz with Cardiff Mardi Gras. They dressed up as Thing 1, Thing 2, and Thing 3 from Dr. Seauss's movie, "The Cat in the Hat." This team's music was great, but to the third jump, they had a little problem. Mackenzie's Rosmel's Bit O' Blue was tired after a long day of showing and didn't really feel like lifting his feet off the ground. Mackenzie, unexpecting it slid off and the team had to walk out but everyone, including Mackenzie, had a smile on their face.
